Since breaking ground this Fall, UDA's Carpentry/Carpenter students, under the direction of teacher Scott Kreiser, are making steady progress in their house construction project which is now under roof.  The Carpentry students are engaged in overall construction, and in interior work, including dry wall, installation of cabinets, trim and flooring.

Congratulations are extended to (from left) Katlin Wiest, Sara Feidt, and Courtney Campbell who were named recipients of the Keystone FFA Degree, the state’s highest FFA award. The UDA seniors are pictured with Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture George Greig.

The Northern Dauphin County Office of Human Services is offering a 16 week program to help individuals overcome the challenges of poverty. A free parenting class is also available (at the same time)  for  parents who wish to wait for their children and gain “helpful hints” on parenting.

At the December 6th Board of Education Meeting, Daniel Frake was named Business Manager of the Upper Dauphin Area School District. Since 2008, Mr. Frake has served the District as a High School, Business, Computer, and Information Technology teacher. During this time he also served as the advisor of the Future Business Leaders of America and as Head Coach of the Track and Field team. Mr.

Monthly cafeteria menus are now available on this website. Also available is a new service, Lunch Prepay.com. This service allows parents/guardians to make cafeteria payments online and to monitor their children's meal purchases and account balances. The UDASD Parent Portal contains grading and scheduling information for students attending UDA.  If you previously had a Parent Extranet login this information has been transferred to the Parent Portal.  To create a Parent Portal account please use the following link:  https://web4.schoolport.org/plexus/parentportal/login.aspx and follow the instructions for first time users.

Starting with the 2011-2012 school year, Comcast has launched a new program created to bring low-cost internet to students and their families. Families are eligible to participate in the Internet Essentials program if they live where Comcast offers Internet service; have at least one child receiving free school lunches through the NSLP; have not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days; and do not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment.
